Detoxing...

 
As of this morning I've started a 9 day detox... I'm actually kind of excited about it...
These are the only things you're supposed to eat during the 9 days...

? Fruit in any quantity
? Veggies in any quantity except: No white potatoes and no avocados
? Protein sources: Chickpeas, Beans, Tofu, Lentils
? Brown rice - two cups of cooked rice per day
? Skim, low fat or soy milk - two cups per day
? Water - As much as you want! lol
? Oatmeal - one cup per day
? All herbs and spices
? Low fat yogurt - 6 oz., two times per day
? Egg whites - Four cups per day
? Herbal tea - two cups per day
? Low fat dressing - No more than three tablespoons per salad
? Low fat virgin olive oil - one or two teaspoons if grilling veggies
 
I think the hardest thing will be no coffee / soda (not even diet soda) for 9 days...
You're also supposed to do at least 25 minutes of physical activity every day, which is actually recommended before bed, but will most likely be during my lunch break, if i can manage it at all... and for as long as i can hack it, i'm going to stick to raw fruits and veggies... you're supposed to eat a small meal every 3 hours (up to 5 small meals a day) and i'm woefully underprepared for that, but hopefully on my lunch hour i can load up on some fruits and veggies to keep around the office so i can "graze" all day...
 
i'll give updates as to how it goes, even if i give up after 2 hours... lol

Wait, where are the Dunkin Donuts (preferably maple) or the Baskin Robbins (preferably Jamoca Almond Fudge) or the See's chocolates? (Now you see why I never do these cleansing things - although I'm sure I could use it!)
