and immediately my stomach does a little flip, because his little crinkled up eyes still make me swoon. so i get to thinking about just how long it is that i've had a crush on good ole jim and it's got to be close to 10 years now. hey, i'm nothing, if not loyal. the thing about crushes though, is that in reality they suck... because while they can certainly bring some pleasant swoon-y type feelings up, they can also serve as a big reminder of what a loser you are... because, let's face it, there are times when the sight of a crush puts a smile on your face... and then there's other times when the sight of a crush sucks the life out of you because they might as well have a neon sign on their forehead that says "nope, i don't want you"... and maybe you're all content with a husband by your side and simply haven't a clue what i'm talking about... if so, consider yourself lucky... because this bullshit of running around being interested in someone who isn't interested back is a bunch of crap.

i was checking out the jimmy eat world website tonight, which i rarely do these days... so anyway, i'm there and i come across this picture of jim:
