hippos

so i am slowly trying to teach myself illustrator... i need to go to the bookstore and get a book on it, so when i have random questions i can't figure out on my own, i have a resource to turn to...
yesterday i decided to start my illustrator efforts by drawing a hippo... now, i can't draw, and i don't know illustrator (yet), so i wasn't expecting much... but mr. hippo turned out ok, and after e-mailing it off to my friends to show off my budding talent, i told autumn i was going to give mr. hippo some clothes (i was thinking plaid shorts) autumn shot back that she preferred him nekkid. so i decided that instead mr hippo needed a girlfriend who wore a dress... a plaid dress... or a polka dot dress (seh ended up with some crazy 90s look dress, but so it goes)... now, at this point i only had a few minutes left, so i shifted to photoshop (woould have turned out SOOOO much better on illustrator) to create a dress and bow for miss hippo... and now, it is with great pleasure that i introduce, for the very first time... mr. and miss hippo:



so then autumn had to come back and show me up, you know, because she married an artists and all... so not only is autumn more beautiful than me, and a better photographer and has cooler taste in music, but she's also better at making cartoon hippos... just look at what she created in mere minutes...
