friday night i joined kristine, brandon, paul and michelle for dinner and drinks at union street. i adore union street. it's never too terribly crowded. it's laid back, and the bartender (who just happens to be someone i've known for half my life now) is wonderful... i hadn't been there in months, so it was a nice change of pace to spend a few hours in my favorite bar...

saturday morning i had an appointment and it was hard. i cried just about straight through it, not that i'm surprised... luckily, afterwards i didn't have time to sit and wallow in the negative head space i was in, as i was meeting up with miss bitchet herself. We met at target, where we breezed through the necessary aisles with a quickness and then headed over to Brio for some lunch... Brio was good (i'd never been there) but seeing as how both b and i are poor, we didn't stay and browse the mall... instead we headed over to loehmanns and nordstrom rack. both stores were pleasantly filled with the names i love... Ben Sherman, Kenneth Cole Reaction, Kate Spade... needless to say, i left both stores emptyhanded, but at least at nordstrom rack, i got to spend a minute or two admiring the heavily tattooed boy who was browsing the ben sherman rack... my phone rang (i have a clash ringtone) and he looked at me and gave me the nod of musical appreciation.

later on, after parting ways with bridget i met up with K&B, P&M for some pizza and a little movie watching... we watched the davinci code. i've never read the book because, well, i never had any interest... but i did thoroughly enjoy the movie... it's 2 1/2 hours long, but the pacing is great, because it just keeps moving right along... i was impressed and not just because i adore audrey tatou (amelie)...

this morning i met my dad for breakfast, spent a few hours at the bookstore drinking coffee and reading magazines and then met up with autumn and hayden for a brief trip to old navy and a sunday drive around utica / shelby township...

all in all it was a pleasant weekend... sunday night inevitably leaves me wishing for more time off, but so it goes...
